John founded Zoellner, Garten & Company in 1988. He holds undergraduate degrees in Finance and Economics and an MBA–Finance. He is a Business Certified Appraiser and Master Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser & Firearms Appraiser. Early in his career he spent more than a decade as a Commercial Lender in the Banking industry –very helpful when dealing with the sale and purchase of businesses. He currently serves as an Advisor and/or Member of the Board of Directors for several area businesses.
James Sachs, Senior Vice President
Jim joined Zoellner Garten & Company in October 2014. He spent the early part of his career as a commercial lender in the Dayton/Southwest Ohio region, then directed an educational publishing company for seven years before entering the Business Broker/Merger & Acquisition profession in 1997. Jim has successfully facilitated over 100 M & A transactions and provided unparalleled advice to numerous entrepreneurs.
Morgan Vaive, Vice President
Morgan began her career with Zoellner, Garten & Company in 2008 while earning her Bachelor’s in Accounting at the University of Cincinnati. In 2011, Morgan left Zoellner to pursue a career in finance. During her time away, she established a very successful career while working for multiple global enterprises. We are excited to have Morgan return as an integral part of our future success.
Rachel McConkey, Administrative Assistant
Rachel joined Zoellner, Garten & Company in early 2018.
We have been in the same office building for over 26 years. We’ve always had an Administrative Assistant to provide support which allows us to better serve our Clients.
In our many decades serving clients, we have met and worked with individuals with expertise in almost every industry and discipline. They are located locally, regionally, and across the United States. They provide support and expertise for us and our clients as we do for them and their clients. We identify issues and have the resources to deal with and resolve them.
Terry joined Zoellner, Garten & Company in 2009. In summer 2019 he was offered and accepted a full-time position with a manufacturer. It is anticipated that he will continue to be involved to finalize transactions he originated.
